Lite-On MT950
Price: ~ $45.00

A full view of the inside of the case.

As you can see, the stabilizing bar adds an extra sense of sturdiness to the entire case construction. Most of the low end steel cases on the market are made of very thin metal panels, making them extremely flimsy. The MT950, however, is surprisingly strong. We actually tried having a 160lbs person standing on the case, and the case didn't even squeak or shake at all.

Tool-less drive bays. This could be nice for my girl friend who doesn't own a screw driver.

The tool-less drive bays work pretty well for the most part, and they would definitely hold your drives in place securely. It's a big plus if you plan on upgrading or switching your drives often, saving you a few trips to your toolbox.

The cable connectors, neatly arranged and labeled.

guess what's inside? move your mouse over.

The case comes with a generous amount of screws of different varieties, definitely more than enough for you to install one computer. It even comes with a few cable ties which I find rather useful. An AC power cord is also included in the package

All add-on card slots come with metal covers.

You might expect those pop-out back plate covers that usually chip your nails at the back, but the add-on card slots on the economic priced MT950 provides you with removable metal covers.

Case fan that comes with the MT950. It sucks air out of the enclosure, and it's pretty quiet too. Somehting you wouldn't expect from a $45 case.

Below the 3.5" drive bays there are air vents that allows you to attach a case fan to help cool down your hard drives. Pretty thoughtful.

The establishing bar in action. Look how it holds the video card in place securely.

The stabilizing bar is what separates this case apart from the competition. Theoretically it helps keep your cards in place securely. This addition would be nice if you carry your computer around for LAN parties. One might argue the bar is in the way and makes it difficult for add-on card installations. I believe the case is roomy enough and the bar never quite got into my way. You can always take the bar out of the case if it's in your way. Overall, the case is very sturdy, unlike most $40 cases out there.
