A closer look to the details

Much like the Cooler Master TFL-R82 we have tested, the AL8025B performs very well. The Evercool fan is generates slightly more noise, but provides more air flow marginally. Its solid construction allows the fan to run steadily. The fins look pretty nice when the fan is turned on, and should mix well if you have lightings installed in your computer.

Verdict

Now the million dollar question: Is it worth the bucks? This is really a tough call because Evercool has made quite a unique fan which doesn't really have much competition around. If you're using an aluminum case and you like the metallic look, or if you hate those LEDs and cold cathode lightings inside your case but still want it to look cool, this might be the perfect fan for you. In terms of performance, this fan is pretty solid and is definitely a good choice if you like its unique looks.

Update 11/26/02: CaseCooler.com has these fans on sale for $7.95. It would be a steal if the price stands.
