Turtle Beach Santa Cruz Sound Card

Let's take a quick look at the specs:

Advanced 3D Positional Audio Support: Unlike other sound cards with simple 3D sound that positions the sound source to quad speakers, Santa Cruz uses Sensaura HRTF 3D positional audio technology to move sources in the X, Y and Z plane for true 360° positional effects that appear above, below and around you. The DSP accelerates 32 hardware and 16 software DirectSound3D streams. 3D audio is compatible with A3D™ 1.0, EAX™1.0/2.0, IA3D, MacroFX™, MultiDrive™, Virtual Ear™.
2, 4 or 6-Speaker Digital Surround Sound: Immersive 3D gaming and DVD audio with 2, 4 or 6-speakers and headphones for home-theater surround sound quality. Connect to external Dolby Digital® decoder with S/PDIF interface.
Effects Processing: 10-band graphic EQ with presets and peak meters. Digital effects processor with multi-effects routing mixer. User-definable presets and factory presets.
Acoustic Sound Fields: Customizable "sound fields" enhance the playback of MP3, CD, DVD and other audio files. Unlike sound cards that provide monophonic acoustic effects, Santa Cruz lets you position the ambiance effects for each sound source to any speaker to create the perfect listening environment.
MIDI Wavetable Synthesis: 8MB DLS synthesizer with scalable DSP/Host load sharing. Up to 64-voice hardware polyphony with more than 1,000 software voices (limited by host CPU.) MIDI controls reverb, chorus, volume, envelope, pitch shift, tremolo and vibrato.
Audio Converters: Dual AC-97 2.1 audio codecs with hardware full-duplex for simultaneous record and playback at up to 48kHz sample rates. Stereo 18 bit A/D converters for high resolution recording of up to 4 sources. 3 stereo 20 bit D/A converters for high resolution playback of up to 6 independent streams.
Audio Performance: Frequency Response (A-A): 10Hz - 120KHz. (-3dB) SNR: > 96 dB FS A. THD+N: (-3dB): >91 dB FS (0.0027%). Crosstalk: 105 dB @ 100Hz.
Digital I/O: 48 kHz PCM audio or Dolby Digital® AC-3 for external decoder.
Analog Quad Mixer: Lets you pan analog signals into four speakers.
AudioMatrix™ Provides diagnostic support.

I'm sure you're already confused with all the specs. Let's move on and see what's the real deal with the Santa Cruz.
